Agents and property developers are reporting a rush to buy land, in order to capitalize on the HomeBuilder grant.
A Western Australian builder remarked that land lots which had been vacant for two years have been snapped up in the two weeks after the announcement of the grant.
A Victorian developer reported a surge of 30% in sales volumes compared to the beginning of May.
And Stockland, a national property developer, claims that some of their developments have seen a threefold increase compared to the weekly average of 2019.
The Federal Government, as well as the State Governments, have been eager to keep the construction industry healthy, with a variety of stimulus strategies in place to accomplish this.
Considering the results that are being reported, it appears that the HomeBuilder grant is achieving one of its goals: getting Australians to build new homes and keep builders in their jobs.
In a few months, it may not be possible to get a builder, because they’ll all be fully booked. A result that will be great for our economy.
